What I loved in the Shadow and Bone Netflix adaptation

I got my first covid vaccine on Saturday, and I was so tired for the rest of the day and most of Sunday that I really didn’t have then energy to post. I’m really grateful I was able to get my shot though, and it was so exciting to see that the Pfizer vaccine was approved for ages 12-15. The symptoms I had were a headache, being very tired, and my arm was pretty sore, but after a little over a day I felt pretty much better.

Anyways, if you haven’t already, and you’re able to where you live, you should go get your covid vaccine.

So, onto the post! On April 23rd, the Netflix show Shadow and Bone was released, which is the adaptation of Leigh Bardugo’s YA fantasy Shadow and Bone. The show is an adaptation of the first book in the Shadow and Bone trilogy, and also takes characters from the duology set in the same world, Six of Crows.

This is the first of a few posts I have planned about the Shadow and Bone, and I’m really excited to share this one!! I thought I’d start by writing about some of the things that I loved in the adaptation, so that’s what the post is about.

I also made this post as spoiler free as possible. I have mentioned characters that appear in the show from the books, as well as a few minor details mentioned in the trailer, but other than that, there is nothing.

Five books I will always recommend!

Hello! Today, I have a kind of random post, with five of my favorite books that I will always recommend!! There is no specific theme to this, and the books range from adult fantasy, to YA contemporary, to middle grade dystopian. Despite that, I hope that this post is helpful in finding books to add to your TBR, and I’m going to get right into it!

Let’s Talk Bookish: Age categories in books

This post is a couple days late, but this week’s LTB topic is a great one!! This week’s official topic is What Make You Continue Picking Up YA/Middle Grade Books? (suggested by Sam @ River Moose Books), but I decided to change it a little for a few reasons.

The main reason was that I’m 14, which means that I’m in the YA age group, and am barely outside of the middle-grade age group. So, I’m going to instead talk more about what makes me like MG vs. YA vs. adult books, as well as some of my favorite books in each category!

Also, MG stands for middle-grade and YA stands for young adult!

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly discussion post created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and is hosted by Rukky and Dani @ A Literary Lion! For this week’s topic, I’m going to talk about what I like about different book age categories!

The Babysitters Club Book Tag

I was tagged for this by Ruby a while ago, and I’m excited to finally be getting to it! I read a few of the Babysitters Club books in elementary school, although I never really got into the series. My sister loves them though, and she always is listening to the audiobooks, so I’ve ended up hearing bits and peices of a lot of the books!

Anyways, the prompts are all really fun, so I’m going to get right into the tag!

Hello, and welcome back to Aria doesn’t write a post for a week then comes back to the type of post she stopped writing two months ago for no reason. It’s so fun here.

Anyways, I haven’t done a Let’s Talk Bookish post in a few months, even though there have been amazing topics, I just haven’t really had the motivation to write any discussion posts. I
