Review Policy

Hello there, and thanks for coming to my blog! I am open to review requests, but before you reach out, please read through the rest of this page.

Genres

I primarily read and review middle grade and young adult, with the occasional adult novel.

Genres that I accept:

• historical fiction
• contemporary
• fantasy
• dystopian fiction

I will consider other genres however I am less likely to be as interested.

In your request, please include…

• Title and author
• The synopsis of the book
• Publication date

• Timeframe for the review

• content warnings
• genres
• age category (middle grade or young adult).

• Format in which I would receive the book – Physical copy, ebook (PDF, mobi, etc), or audiobook

If possible, I would appreciate links to the book’s Goodreads and/or Amazon, and to the author or publishers website

If you send me a book, I will do my best to read it as soon as I can, and will post my review either as close as possible to the release date, or by a date you give me. Do keep in mind that blogging is a hobby, and I don’t have unlimited time, so it may take me some time to get to a book and to write a book. I will let you know if I’m going to take much longer than expected to read a book, but I will aim for within 6 weeks.

If you send me a book, I will do my best to read it as soon as I can. If it is an advance copy, I will post my review close to the release date, unless you say otherwise. If not, I will do my best to read and review the book within six weeks. Do keep in mind that blogging is a hobby, and I don’t have unlimited time for writing, so it may take me longer than expected to read and review a book. If that happens, I will email you and let you know if I’m going to take much longer.

It is possible that I may not like a book, and will not finish it. In that case, I will send an email letting you know about that, and will not post a review or rating. However, I may talk about it on my blog and other places such as my Goodreads.

It is also possible that I would read a book, but not like it. I will write a review, but it will be my honest opinion, and I will talk about the things I liked and disliked. I will be as constructive as I can with my critisism.

I post my reviews here on my blog, and Goodreads. I can also spotlight the book on Instagram, so let me know if you would like that.
