LGBTQ+ books I read this summer

Hi!! Today I have a list of all of the LGBTQ+ books I read this summer! There are 11 in total, and I’m so excited to share my thoughts on them all with you! Two are rereads, but the rest are new, and I think that I’ve done a good job this summer in trying to read lots of books with LGBTQ+ rep!!

Also, these all have queer main characters, and those are the ones I wanted to include. I have read lots of other books with LGBTQ+ side characters, and I do want to point that out too.

Anyways, I read a ton of amazing books this summer, and I do recommend all of these, so you can take this as a wrap up and as a queer books recommendations post. I did prefer some of the books more than others though, so you can read about all of my thoughts on them below! So, let’s get into the post!

Why you should read The Henna Wars, by Adiba Jaigirdar

Hi!! I went camping with my family and some friends for a few days over the weekend, which was really fun. It was pretty foggy, and a little rainy for a lot of it, but I still had a really good time. It’s nice to be back home though, and I have a post that I’m very excited for today!

When I first read The Henna Wars, over a year ago, it immediately became one of my favorite books! The Henna Wars has amazing LGBTQ+ representation, and because it’s pride month, I thought I’d write a post on why I think you should read The Henna Wars, by Adiba Jaigirdar.

I’ve read most of these in the last year, as I’ve been trying to read more diverse books, and I’ve discovered many amazing books and authors. Because it’s Pride month, I also wanted to include books with LGBTQ+ representation, and I’ve marked those with a rainbow! 🌈

And, with that, I’m going to get right into the post!

You can click to see the synopsis of each book. I got all of the synopsis from the author, publisher, or Goodreads.
