Hello, and happy (almost) New Year! It’s almost 2025, and I’m so excited to be bringing you the first LTB topics for 2025.
Let’s Talk Bookish is a bookish meme that was created by Rukky @ Eternity Books where each Friday, bloggers write posts discussing the topic of the week. Since April 2022, I’ve been the host of LTB and post each month’s topics here on my blog!
I also have an archive of the LTB topics here on Book Nook Bits, which you can find in the menu of my blog. My archive has the topics from April 2022 and all months going forwards, and all previous topics can be found on Rukky’s blog.
As always, if you’d like to suggest a topic, you can do so using the Google Form linked at the end of this post!
It’s almost December, and almost the end of 2024! I can’t believe how quickly the year’s gone by, but I’m excited to bring you the last LTB topics of the year.

This is my fifth year doing my bookish resolutions, just this time, they’re way later than usual. I’ve set reading, writing, and blogging goals every year since I started blogging, but I just kept putting off my 2024 resolutions. It’s the first day of December, and I figured I might as well do some resolutions for the last month of 2024, as we get closer to the new year. So, here are my bookish resolutions for the end of the year!
I am writing this on November 3rd, 2020. The United States election is today, although I won’t start to find out the results until this evening. You’re 18 now, at least you should be when you’re reading this. You’re a legal adult, a senior, and you can vote. So you’ve voted, right? Or you will.
How’s life going for you. I hope that you’re still blogging. You should be. And have you read any good books lately? The third book in The Gilded Wolves Trilogy must have come out by now, and you’ve probably read it.
And the Percy Jackson Disney plus TV show!! I’m so excited for it right now, although we probably won’t get to it for years. But at least one season should have come out, maybe even two. I hope that it was good.
And has Rick Riordan written any more books? There’s that one short story that’s supposed to come out next fall, fall of 2021.
But this letter wasn’t supposed to be about books. What’s the world like? And covid? What is going on with the pandemic? As I’m writing this, my school is completely online, over zoom and canvas.
I wonder who the presidential candidates are. I’m hoping that Kamala Harris runs in 2024.
But I’m really wondering what happens with the election, and after the election. And with the Supreme Court. Who are the justices?
Also, are you better with managing your time? And do you schedule blog posts? That’s something I’m not very good with right now.
I have to end this here, because I have to go, but first, one thing.
I really hope that Joe Biden is elected president of the United States. Although he’s definitely not my first choice, we cannot have another 4 years of Donald Trump. The election happening pretty much right now is not going to end nicely, or be run completely fair and square. But you know that, since all of what I don’t know happened years ago for you.
Maybe you won’t ever read this letter, but I hope that you do, and I hope that the world is in a better place when you’re reading this than it is right now, because right now, the world sucks, in so many ways, and we need to make things better.
Sincerely,
Your 14-year-old self
proof that this post was in fact written November 3rd, 2020
NOTE (from 18-year-old me):
I wrote and scheduled this post exactly 4 years ago, and today was the first day I read it since then. So much in my life has changed in the past 4 years, and a lot of it has been for the better – I’m a senior in high school, editor of my school newspaper, and just a few days ago, submitted my first college applications. Despite all these changes, I really do think that I’m the same person I was when I started blogging, and this letter has shown me that not much has changed. Maybe I’ll write another letter for November 2028!
Hello, and happy November! The year has flown by, and I’m excited to be sharing the topics for this month’s Let’s Talk Bookish.

It’s October 16th, which means it’s my last day of being 17! It also means that it’s time for one of my favorite annual posts, which I’ve been doing for the last five years.
I can’t believe that I’ve been doing these posts for so long, and it’s always so much fun to look at what some of my favorite fictional characters did when they were my age. There are a lot of 17-year-old characters that I’m excited to talk about for this year’s post, so here they are!

It’s August 21st, which means that today, Book Nook Bits turns 5! I can’t believe that it’s been five whole years since I started this blog, and I can’t imagine what my life would be like without the book community.
I started this blog when I was 12, and I’ve learned so much since then. In the last five years, I’ve have been able to do so many amazing things through this blog. For this post, I thought I’d talk about some of my blogging highlights from the past few years, and what I’ve learned along the way!
