Hello, and happy Friday! School starts in just a few weeks, and it feels like summer has gone by so fast!! I also took a practice SAT this morning, which went pretty well, but it also was very long. I’m taking the SAT in October, and I’m trying to do a lot of studying right now, so that I don’t have to worry about it so much once school starts in September.
Anyways, I’m very excited about this week’s LTB topic, which is all about reading routines. So, let’s get into the post!
Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly bookish meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and has been hosted by me since April 2022! Each Friday, there is a discussion topic for bloggers to write about. This week’s topic is all about daily reading routines, suggested by the Bageler @ It’s the Bageler!
This August also marks 4 years of LTB!! Rukky @ Eternity Books created this blogging meme in August 2019, and it’s been amazing to see how much the LTB community has grown over the years.

Do you have a daily reading routine? Do you read certain books at certain times, or just read whatever, whenever? Do you carve out time to read every day, or just read when you feel like it?
I don’t really have a reading routine. I think this is mostly because the amount of time I have for reading really depends on what other things I have going on in my life. For example, I’ve been reading a lot the last few weeks because it’s summer break, and I don’t have school to worry about.
When I have to worry about homework and studying for tests during the school year, that changes things.
I’m also not very organized with my reading. I jump between different books pretty frequently, and usually am in the middle of multiple books!
I do try to read a little every day, but not at specific times. I used to listen to audiobooks before bed most nights, and I still do occasionally, but not as often.
Recently, I’ve been trying to read before bed every night. Sometimes it’s an audiobook, sometimes a physical book.
I think reading before bed is really relaxing because it gives me something to focus on that’s not stressful, and that’s separate from anything that happened during my day.
Reading before bed is definitely something I want to keep up with during the school year. I’ll see how that goes this fall!
Do you like reading in specific places, or do you just read wherever you can?
I’m pretty much always happy to read wherever, but I usually read in my room. That’s because it’s quiet and cozy, and I’ll usually have one of my cats with me!
When it’s nice out, I also like to read outside. At school, I’ll read before my classes if I have extra time during passing periods, or during morning break.
So basically I’ll read anywhere!

Throughout the day, I read on my Kindle while sitting on my balcony. At night, in bed before going to sleep, I read a print book – about 20 pages.

Whatever, whenever, but always a few pages in bed before sleeping.
