Let’s Talk Bookish: 2022 Reading & Blogging Reflections

Hello, and happy New Year’s Eve! I feel like 2022 went by really quick, but there definitely was still a lot that happened. Today, I’m excited to write a little wrap up of my reading and blogging this year, and to share a few reflections. So, let’s get into this post!

Let’s Talk Bookish is a weekly bookish meme created by Rukky @ Eternity Books and has been hosted by me since April of this year! Each Friday, there is a discussion topic for bloggers to write about. This week’s topic is 2022 Reading & Blogging Reflections.

How many books did you read in 2022? Did you meet your reading goals?

I read a total of 62 books this year, which means that I did reach my goal. After I lowered it. My original goal was 100, but I had a really busy summer and fall, and I knew that there was no way that I was going to reach that goal.

So, I moved it to 60, which was much more manageable! I had some more specific goals that I’ll probably go into in another post, but that was my main thing!

What were some of your favorites? What were your least favorite books you read this year?

I read a ton of amazing books, and these five were some of my favorites!

As for least favorite books… I don’t have any? This year, I really tried to focus on reading books that I liked, and so I really just DNF’d books that I wasn’t enjoying. So I don’t really have any books that I hated that I read this year. In the past, I’ve DNF’d very few books, but now I do a lot more often.

How did you feel about your blogging in 2022?

I had a kind of rocky blogging year. I’ve had a lot going on, with school and other things, so this year there have been a lot of times when I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked for blogging.

But overall, I had a good blogging year! In the spring, I took over as host of Let’s Talk Bookish, which has been really exciting, and has been an amazing way to get to interact with the community.

I had fun with a lot of blogging things in 2022, and I’m looking forwards to figuring out how to be more and more efficient in the new year!

What are your favorite posts you wrote in 2022?

Some of my favorite posts from 2022 are…
