Top Ten Tuesday: Ten books that have changed my life

Hello and happy Tuesday! This week’s topic is a Thankful freebie, for Thanksgiving, and I wanted to talk about ten books that have changed my life! Books have gotten me through hard times, have helped me figure out who I am, and books that have always kept me company, and have given me a place to escape to. Here I’m going to talk about ten books that have changed my life, that I am very grateful for.

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits that topic!

Top Ten Tuesday: Amazing book covers

I don’t know if this has been a past TTT topic, but it seems like a really fun one to do. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl, and how it works is each week there is a topic and you make a list of your top 5, 10 or whatever number of books that fit that topic. This week’s topic is a book cover freebie, so I’m doing amazing book covers!

1 Wolf Hollow, by Lauren Wolk

2 The War I Finally Won, by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley.

3 The Gilded Wolves, by Roshani Chokshi

The cover of The War I Finally Won really represents what the book is about, and even though I haven’t read The Gilded Wolves yet, the cover is so beautiful! And with Wolf Hollow, I love how the writing is built into the design of the cover and is part of the tree.

4The Girl Who Drank the Moon, by Kelly Barnhill

5The Sun is Also a Star, by Nicola Yoon

6Everything, Everything, by Nicola Yoon

7Five Feet Apart, by Rachael Lippincott

Both of Nicola Yoon’s books have such amazing covers that are just really pretty, and the same is with Five Feet Apart. I love on the cover of The Girl Who Drank the Moon how the title is on the moon. It is so pretty!

8 The Wolf Wilder, by Katherine Rundell

9 The Penderwicks at Point Mouette, by Jeanne Birdsall

x Becoming Naomi León, by Pam Muñoz Ryan

The Wolf Wilders is incredible; how the title is built into the trees, and how the light is streaming out of the windows of the cabin. Becoming Naomi León is really interesting as well; how her hair is moving with the wind, the lion next to her with its mouth open. I guess I just love all of the Penderwicks covers; it so simple, yet represents and shows so much of the book!

Top Ten Tuesday: Character Traits I Love

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish and is now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. How it works is each week there’s a topic, and you make lists of books that fit that topic!

1 My first character is Jane from the Penderwicks. She is so happy and upbeat, and so dedicated to her writing!

2 My second is Ada, from The War I finally Won. She is so brave and persistent, and never backs down from a challenge.

3 My third is May Amelia, from Our Only May Amelia. Having seven brothers and being the only girl in Nasel isn’t easy, but she preservers and makes the most out of everything.

4 My fourth is Esperanza from Esperanza Rising. She goes from being extremely wealthy to having almost nothing, but she is very brave and always wants to do her part.

I know that its top TEN Tuesday, but my computer isn’t working very well, so I’m just going to leave it at 4!
