Hello and happy Tuesday! This week’s topic is a Thankful freebie, for Thanksgiving, and I wanted to talk about ten books that have changed my life! Books have gotten me through hard times, have helped me figure out who I am, and books that have always kept me company, and have given me a place to escape to. Here I’m going to talk about ten books that have changed my life, that I am very grateful for.
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits that topic!

I don’t know how to describe what these books have done for me. They’re all so different, in so many ways. Some of these books, I first read when I was six or seven years old, others in the past year. One was published just a few months ago, another more than a century ago.
I’m not going to go into a ton of detail about each of these books, but I do want to talk about a few of them.
My mom first read the Little House books to me when I was about six years old, and I immediately fell in love with them. After she read me the series, I reread them on my own, and eventually read the other series that go along with them, about Laura’s mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and daughter.
The Lightning Thief is up there for really all of Rick Riordan’s books. Those books have meant so much to me for years. The House of Hades, through all it’s terrifying parts, has helped me in so many ways as well.
My old, beaten up copy of The Penderwicks on Gardam Street was given to me years ago, and since then I’ve read it so many times. The book has taught me about family, has given me something to laugh about, and just means so much more than I could ever express.
The rest of the books all mean so much to me, for so many different reasons. Some of these reasons are more personal, so I’m not going to talk about everything here, but I do hope that you found this post interesting, and I’d love to hear about some books that have changed your life.
What are some books that have changed your life, or that you are thankful for? Have you read any of the books I mentioned? Chat with me in the comments below!

Thank you so much for sharing Aria… PJO means a lot to me too, both through being a comfort read and one of the books that got me into reading in the first place! Also, I truly enjoyed The War that Saved My Life… such an endearing story of family… but I have yet to read the sequel but since you featured it here, I am definitely going to give it a go… Lovely post!

Thanks so much for your comment Cherelle! I loved The War that Saved my Life, and I loved the sequel just as much, maybe even more. I hope that if you get to it you enjoy it! Thanks 💜
