Let’s Talk Bookish – March 2024 topics

Happy leap day! I finally have the March LTB topics, and I’m so sorry it took so long. I will be getting the April ones out much sooner, in the next few weeks, so you’ll have more time to plan ahead on posts. Anyway, I hope you like the topics for this month – I think they’ll be pretty fun!

Let’s Talk Bookish is a bookish meme that was created by Rukky @ Eternity Books where each Friday, bloggers write posts discussing the topic of the week. Since April 2022, I’ve been the host of LTB and post each month’s topics here on my blog!

I also have an archive of the LTB topics here on Book Nook Bits, which you can find in the menu of my blog. My archive has the topics from April 2022 and all months going forwards, and all previous topics can be found on Rukky’s blog.

March 1: Series That Could Have Been Standalones

Prompts: Are there any series that you think could have been standalones? Or series that just should have ended sooner? Do you like having long series, or do you prefer to have a story more condensed?

March 8: Favorite Female Protagonists

Prompts: It’s International Women’s Day! Who are some of your favorite female protagonists? What makes a female protagonist feel genuine to you? Share some recommendations!

March 15: Book Covers (Davida Chazan)

Prompts: Do you ever get a book with a beautiful cover that is way better than the book itself? Or book covers that really just don’t fit the books? Some books have lots of different covers, for different countries and special editions. Are there any books with some great covers and some terrible ones?

March 22: Do Tropes Count As Spoilers?

Prompts: A lot of the time, books will be promoted on social media books with their tropes. For example, a book might be advertised as being enemies to lovers, having found family, or starring a ‘chosen one’. Can those tropes be spoilers, giving away parts of the plot? What do you think about marketing books based on tropes?

March 29: Freebie!

Prompts: It’s the fifth Friday of March, so this week is a freebie! Use this week to revisit an old LTB topic, or write about something you’re interested in! You can also check out the LTB archives on my blog and on Rukky’s for more topic ideas.
