Top Ten Tuesday: Spooky book covers

Hello! This week’s topic is a Halloween freebie, so I decided to go with spooky book covers, since I always have a lot of fun with book cover posts!

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits that topic!

On my TBR:

  • Horrid, by Katrina Leno
  • The Star Touched Queen, by Roshani Chokshi
  • Enchantée, by Gita Trelease

For all three of these books, I don’t know a lot about them because I haven’t read them, but the covers are just pretty spooky.

Books I’ve read:

  • The Gilded Wolces, by Roshani Chokshi
  • Cinderella is Dead, by Kalynn Bayron
  • The Tower of Nero, by Rick Riordan

These three covers may not look as spooky, but knowing what happens in the books, these covers give me the chills. The Gilded Wolves for example is a historical fantasy set in late 1800’s Paris and revolves around a dangerous heist. The Tower of Nero, well, I couldn’t say anything that because spoilers, but that cover makes me kind of emotional.

With Cinderella is Dead, the cover is already a bit haunting, with the look on Sophia’s face, and with the darkness of her surroundings, but for me there is just something more about the book that just seems kind of spooky.

Well, that’s where I’m going to end today! I had fun with this topic, and I hope you had fun reading about six books with spooky covers!

Have you read any of the books I listed? What are some books with spooky covers you can think of? Chat with me in the comments below!

    1. Thanks!! They really are! Cinderella is Dead is so AMAZING but it’s honestly a pretty spooky book, if you really think about it. I really love The Gilded Wolves, it’s an amazing book!
