Let’s Talk Bookish: Thoughts regarding reading challenges

Hello and happy Friday! Today I’m going to be participating in Let’s Talk Bookish, a weekly discussion post created and hosted by Rukky @ Eternity Books. This week’s topic is: Thoughts regarding reading challenges!

My own experience, which is nonexistent

I’ve never participated in a reading challenge other than the personal Goodreads one, and this year is only my first time, so I don’t really have any experience on reading challenges. I think that reading challenges can be a really good way to set reading goals, and can motivate you to read more.

I have much debated joining reading challenges and readathons, such as the pondathon and the year of the asian reading challenge. And I had decided not to, even after seeing the countless sign ups for this. I thought that I wouldn’t be able to keep up with all of the extra stuff I would have to do, so wouldn’t it be easier to just read?

When I was finding the post to link up to the Year of the Asian reading challenge, I saw that really, it’s not too hard. You sign up, set a goal, and read!

So even thought it’s a little late, I’m going to be signing up for the YARC, and my sign up post and TBR will be coming soon!

I’m going to keep this post at pretty short today because I don’t have a lot of time right now, but I’d love to hear your thoughts!

What do you think about reading challenges? Do you participate in any? Chat with me in the comments below!
