WWW Wednesday 68

Hello, and happy Wednesday! Today I didn’t do much, but I did have time for a lot of reading! I really need all the time I can get though because there are only a couple days left in the year and I still haven’t met my reading goal. Anyways, here is my weekly reading update!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Daughter of the Deep, by Rick Riordan and The Music of What Happens, by Bill Konigsberg.

I’m listening to the audiobook of Daughter of the Deep with my sister which is fun, and it is a really amazing book! I can’t wait to finish it.

I’m pretty close to finishing The Music of What Happens, so I’ll probably done with it tomorrow. It’s not great, and the audiobook reader is kind of annoying, but it’s a cute story and I like some of the characters. At this point I’m too invested in the plot to just not finish it, and I am enjoying the story which is good. I’ve just read many better contemporaries.

What did you recently finish reading?

Last week, I finished reading Loveless, by Alice Oseman, Only Mostly Devastated, by Sophie Gonzales and The Gilded Wolves, by Roshani Chokshi.

I really loved Loveless; it’s a really beautifully written book. Alice Oseman is an incredible author, and after reading Loveless and Heartstopper, I want to read everything else by her.

I’ve read two other books by Sophie Gonzales that I adored, and Only Mostly Devastated was just as amazing as the other books by her that I’ve read. It’s a really amazingly written book, with lovable and interesting characters, and a really compelling and fast-paced plot.

I finally finished my reread of The Gilded Wolves, which was fun. I always love reading it, and this time was no exception. It’s just such an amazing book!

Next, I want to read The Matzah Ball, by Jean Meltzer, The Keeper of the Night, by Kylie Lee Baker and Lies my Memory Told Me. My goal is to read the three of these by the end of the year, which gives me two days. That’s not a lot of time, but these all seem like very fast paced books that I’ll be able to read pretty quickly.

For my first read of 2022, I already have a book picked out: Last Night at the Telegraph Club, by Malinda Lo. I’ve heard really amazing things about Last Night at the Telegraph Club; it’s sapphic historical fiction set in the 1950s about two girls falling in love, and I’m really excited for every part of it!

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!
