December 2021 wrap up and January 2022 goals

Hello, and happy New Year! I can’t believe that it’s already 2022! I went skiing with my family today, which was really fun, but it was very tiring. Anyways, I have a lot of plans for the first month of the new year, and I want to start to wrap up this past December, and all of my reading from 2021, so I’m going to jump right into my December wrap up & January goals!

In December, I read seventeen books

  • Nine were physical books
  • Four were audiobooks
  • Two were ebooks
  • Two were graphic novels

In December, I read seventeen books, which is more books than I’ve read in a single month in a very long time. This was mainly because I realized that I wasn’t too close to reaching my 2021 reading goal and slightly panicked, but I also had a ton of time to read because I was one winter break for the last chunk of the month.

I read a really wide range of books in December, with lots of different genres, which I think is great. I also read two very short books in the last couple days of the year. The first was Jonathan Livingston Seagull which my dad recommended, and which is a) very short and b) has the most ridiculous margins that make reading the book go by super quickly. The second short book was Cherry the Cake Fairy, one of the rainbow magic books. The rainbow magic books were my absolute favorite when I was younger, and I figured that why not read one, since I wanted to have one more book to add to my total for the year.

In December I wrote…

In total, I wrote 18 posts in December, which I’m really happy with!! Winter break gave me so much free time to blog, and that was really nice. I’m also really happy with the posts I did; I think that I had a good mix of end of year posts, discussions, some reviews, and other miscellaneous posts.

There are nine books that I want to read in January, and here they are! I’ll hopefully read more than these nine, but all of these are ones that I really really want to get to in the next month.

I have a fair amount of posts that I want to do in January, and a lot of them are kinds of wrap ups, and are about the books that I read in 2021, like my favorite books of the year and things like that. So, you can look forwards to lots of those, as well as some other types of reviews and such.

I didn’t do much writing in December, but I’m okay with that. I did a lot of writing in November with nanowrimo, and I kind of needed a break. I did go back to an older WIP I have at the end of the month, which was really fun, and I’m planning to work on it more over the next couple of months.
