WWW Wednesday 56

Hello, and happy Wednesday!! This past week has been pretty busy for me, with school and dance and even more school, so I’ve had very little time to read and even less time to write. I’m excited to chat a little about the books I’m currently reading, and the book I finished this week, so I’m going to get right into the post!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading I Was Anastasia, by Ariel Lawhon, Bloody Spade, by Brittany M. Willows, Our Violent Ends, by Chloe Gong, and The Gilded Wolves, by Roshani Chokshi.

I’m STILL reading I Was Anastasia, and I’ve only made a little progress. It’s such a fantastic book, and I really want to finish it this week.

I’m also STILL just at the beginning of Bloody Spade, but it’s so, so good!! I also want to try and finish this one this week.

The Mime Order is the sequel to The Bone Season, which I loved. I’m not too far into The Mime Order, but so much has happened already, and I can’t wait to find out what happens next with it all.

I’m also rereading The Gilded Wolves for the fourth time, and it’s so good!! It’s just as amazing as ever, and I’m really loving diving back into the world. The copy I’m reading is for my friend for her birthday, so I’m annotating it as I go which is really fun!! I’ve never written in a physical book while reading, and I really like it!! I’ll hopefully finish it by the end of this week as well!!

What did you recently finish reading?

I only read one book this week, and it was a very short one, but I really loved it.

A Psalm for the Wild Built is about a non-binary monk named Dex who stumbles across a robot while in the woods, and the story is about the two of them. It’s so unique, and is like nothing I’ve ever read before.

It was recommended to me by a bookseller at a bookstore near my house, and what pushed me to read it so soon was hearing how much Kristin @ Kristin Kraves Books loved it!! I’m so glad that I read A Psalm for the Wild Built.

What do you think you’ll read next?

It looks like this next week is my week of thrillers and fantasy with bright red covers: I cannot wait to read Ace of Spades, The Girls I’ve Been, and The Mime Order.

I read the first chunk of The Mime Order a little while ago, but I haven’t made progress on it in weeks, so I’ll basically be starting from the beginning.

Ace of Spades and The Girls I’ve Been are both thrillers that have been on my TBR for so long, and I’m so excited for them both. I have a feeling that I’m going to fly through the two books, because they’re thrillers, and I can usually read thrillers pretty quickly.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!
