WWW Wednesday 53

Hello! I hope that you’re all having a great Wednesday! This morning I watched the presidential inauguration, which was really great!! I am so happy about all of it, and it was amazing watching Kamala Harris being sworn in. Anyways, I got a lot of reading done the last couple weeks, and I’m excited to talk about the books I read!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading These Violent Delights, by Chloe Gong, The Priory of the Orange Tree, by Samantha Shannon, and The Sone of Neptune, by Rick Riordan.

I haven’t made much progress on These Violent Delights, but I really want to finish it in the next couple days. I only have a few hours left in The Priory of the Orange Tree, so I’m hoping to finish that one as well soon. I am actually reading The Son of Neptune with my sister and my dad, which is really great. It’s a reread for me, but their first time reading the book!

What did you recently finish reading?

I haven’t done a WWW Wednesday in two weeks, so here are all of the books I’ve read since then: At the Edge of the Haight, by Katherine Seligman, Admission, by Julie Buxbaum, City of Bones, by Cassandra Clare, The Penderwicks on Gardam Street, by Jeanne Birdsall and Children of Blood and Bone, by Tomi Adeyemi.

The Penderwicks on Gardam Street was a reread, and as always I loved it so much! I also really loved Admission!!

I’ve been really looking forwards to City of Bones, and I really enjoyed it! I am very excited to continue the series, and read more about the world!!

A friend lent me a copy of Children of Blood and Bone, and I liked it. Not as much as I was hoping I would though. I am excited to get to the sequel at some point, and I’m hoping that it will build more on the world, and continue with everything that was started in the first book.

The last book I read was At the Edge of the Haight, by Katherine Seligman. I really liked it as well! You can read my review here!

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next, I want to read Before the Sword, by Grace Lin, Black Enough, by Ibi Zoboi, The Eye of Ra, by Ben Gartner, and You Have a Match, by Emma Lord!

My preorder of You Have a Match came in the mail today, and I am so excited to read it!! I loved Emma Lord’s debut, and I can’t wait to get to this book!

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!
