January 2023 wrap up and February goals

Hello, and happy Sunday! It’s been really rainy this weekend, which has been so fun! I hope that we get even more rain this week, but I also don’t want it to be too cold. Anyways, February is off to a pretty good start, which is good, and although it’s going to be a busy month for me, I’m excited for the next few weeks. Anyways, here is my January wrap up, and my goals for February!

In January I read 0 books.

And I’m pretty sad about that. I haven’t had a great start to 2023 reading wise, mostly because I’ve been so busy. And although January was really busy, I had fun with everything I was doing. I just want to try and make more time for reading this spring.

Hopefully, I’ll have a bit more time for reading in February!

Here are the posts I wrote in January:

I didn’t get all the posts written that I’d planned to, but I’m happy with the ones that I did get written!

I didn’t read any full books in January, but I did start (and DNF some). One that I started was A Million to One, and I really want to finish it this month! I also want to read the other three up here, and post reviews of some of them!!

These four I have physical or digital copies of, so I’m probably also going to try and read one full audiobook this month, if not more!!

I have 3 main blog-related goals for February:

  1. Write LTB posts on Fridays, and not later than that
  2. Post at least one, maybe more reviews
  3. Schedule more posts, at least for the next day/morning

This is less blogging related, but I want to post at least a few times on my bookstagram, because I have been pretty absent from there, and I miss posting on there!

I haven’t really done any fiction writing since nanowrimo ended, and I want to do at least a little bit this month, even if it’s just once or twice for a few minutes.

I have been doing a lot more writing for my school newspaper, and that has been super fun! I really love writing articles, and doing interviews and all that, so I’m looking forward to more of that in the next few months.

Did you read any good books in January? What are some of your goals for February? Chat with me in the comments below!

  1. My favorite January reads were I Kissed Shara Wheeler, and The Eye of the World. My coworker insisted I get started on The Wheel of Time series, so I have been listening to the audiobooks at work, and I HIGHLY recommend the audiobooks in particular!
For February I am hoping to put out at least two (2) reviews.
Also, how cool that you’re writing for your school newspaper! I never had to opportunity (or confidence, rather) to get involved in that when I was in school, so please have tons of fun for me. 😛

    1. Sorry for the late response on this comment! Those all sound fantastic, and I’ll have to check those out! I’ve wanted to read I Kissed Shara Wheeler, and I hadn’t heard of the others but they sound really good!

I promise I’ll have lots of fun for you with newspaper 😁

  2. My highest rated book in January was a novella: Magic Tides (Kate Daniels: Wilmington Years #1) by Ilona Andrews.
And plans for February… I have one more buddy read planned to wards the end of the month. Other than that mood reading…
I hope you find something fun to read this month and enough time.
