Hello, and happy Wednesday! This week has been so busy for me, and I haven’t had a ton of time for anything outside of school. I was able to finish one book this week, and read more of another, which was really nice. Hopefully next week will be a little less stressful, but for now, I’m just going to get into my weekly reading wrap up!
Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.
The three Ws:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading A Deadly Education, by Naomi Novik, A Body in the Library, by Agatha Christie and Under the Udala Tree, by Chinelo Okparanta.
I didn’t make much progress on A Deadly Education this week, but from what I’ve read so far, I think that it’s a really cool book and I’m excited to finish it.
I’m reading The Body in the Library, but since it’s in French, it’s ‘Un Cadavre Dans la Bibliothèque’. I’m getting through it very, very slowly because I only really read it in French class, which is just about 10 minutes a day.
Aru Shah and the Nectar of Immortality is the fifth and final book in the Pandava series by Roshani Chokshi, and it’s so good! I’ve been looking forwards to this one for months, and I’m so happy to finally be reading it. I can’t wait to finish it, and see how the story ends.
What did you recently finish reading?
I recently finished reading Under the Udala Trees, by Chinelo Okparanta. I’m reading this one for my lit class in school, and I actually ended up really loving it! It’s YA historical fiction about a young girl named Ijeoma in 1960s and 70s Nigeria who is a lesbian. It’s a beautiful and moving book, and it’s really well written.
What do you think you’ll read next?
Next, I want to read Daisy Jones & the Six, by Taylor Jenkins Reid, The Keeper of the Night, by Kylie Lee Baker and Fire Keeper’s Daughter, by Angeline Boulley.
If I can make time, I’d love to start one or all of these. All three have been on my TBR for ages, and I really want to get to reading them!
