Hello, and happy Wednesday! I hope that you are all having good weeks so far! I’m on vacation with my family which is so fun, and it’s been so nice to relax and have a break from school and life in general. I had some time to read this week, and I finished a couple of books, so I’m excited to talk about those in this post. And, I’ve decided to start adding polls & random book news at the ends of my posts, so read to the end to see what today’s is about!

What are you currently reading?

I’m currently reading A Deadly Education, by Naomi Novik, and Empire of the Sun, by J. G. Ballard. I just started A Deadly Education, so I’m not very far in, but I’m really loving it so far. The writing style is so cool, and I think that I’m going to love it.

I’m on vacation with my family this week, and didn’t bring Empire of the Sun, so I’ve taken a little break from it this week. When I get back home this weekend though I’m going to pick it up again, and I’ll try to finish it sooner rather than later!

What did you recently finish reading?

Last week I read Rick, by Alex Gino and Ms. Marvel, Vol. 8: Damage Per Second! I really, really loved both. Rick was a really beautiful and inspiring book, and I flew through it. I’ve been reading a fair amount of middle grade recently, and this just made me want to read even more.

I also had a lot of fun with Ms. Marvel; I’ve never really read many comics, but I’m loving these so much!! I think that it’s really cool to see how lots of other Marvel characters are pulled into the different volumes, and that’s been fun.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next, I want to read Daisy Jones & the Six, by Taylor Jenkins Reid and the next few Ms. Marvel comics, starting with Volume 8: Mecca. I also kind of want to reread the 39 Clues series, or at least some of the books, so I might download the audiobooks for that, but I’ll see!

I did this a little a while ago, but I was thinking I’d bring back the polls at the end of my blog posts. It’s a fun way to make my posts a little more interactive, and it gives me a chance to talk about random little things at the ends of my posts!
