WWW Wednesday 74

Hello, and happy Wednesday! This last week has been really busy for me, with lots of school related things, so I haven’t been able to post since last Wednesday. It’s been nice to have a tiny break, but I think that I’m back on track now for posting multiple times a week! Anyways, over the last week I’ve had some to read, so here we go into my weekly reading update!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading A Torch against the Night, by Sabaa Tahir, Murder is Bad Manners, by Robin Stevens and Renegades, by Marissa Meyer.

I’m almost done with Murder is Bad Manners, and it is such a fun book!! I love the historical aspects, and the mystery is really fun to read about. I love reading middle grade books so much, and this one is no exception!

I started reading Renegades a couple of days ago, and it is so good! I love the setting, and all of the powered people, but I am hoping to get a little more backstory on the characters, and to learn more about the magic system of the Prodigies of the world. I love both of the two main characters; Adrian has such cool powers, and Nova is overall so amazing!!

I didn’t make a lot of progress on A Torch Against the Night, but this week I am committing to finishing it, and hopefully will be able to power through it over the weekend. I love the story, and am excited to be continuing the Ember in the Ashes trilogy, but the pacing is often slower than I would like.

What did you recently finish reading?

Last week, I read The Elite, by Kiera Cass, The One, by Kiera Cass and Ms. Marvel, Vol. 1: No Normal, by Adrian Alphona, G. Willow Wilson.

It was fun to reread the Selection series, and it’s really just one of my comfort reads. I also didn’t have the energy for anything really heavy this last week, so The Selection was the perfect series to reread!

I read the first volume of the Ms. Marvel comics, and I really liked it. Ms. Marvel has such a fun backstory, and I’m excited to read more of her!

I’m keeping this list the same as it has been for like the last month: I still want to read A Deadly Education, by Naomi Novik, The Keeper of the Night, by Kylie Lee Baker and Empire of the Sun, by J. G. Ballard.

I seriously want to start at least one of these in the next week, so let’s see where I’ll be in seven days. Hopefully, I’ll have read lots more by then!!

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!
