WWW Wednesday 73

Hello, and happy Wednesday! Today is a very fun day; The 2nd day of the 2nd month of the 22nd year of the 2nd millennia, which I think is pretty cool. Anyways, over the last week, but the last two days especially, I’ve read a fair amount, so I’m excited to share a quick reading update with you all today!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading A Torch against the Night, by Sabaa Tahir and Murder is Bad Manners, by Robin Stevens.

Murder is Bad Manners is a fun middle-grade historical murder mystery set at a British all girls boarding school, and I’m enjoying reading it. It’s very entertaining, and I think I’ll be able to finish it soon!

I wasn’t able to make any more progress on A Torch Against the Night, but I’m very determined to change that, and I’m hoping that I’ll be able to finish it, or at least make significant progress on it in the next week!

What did you recently finish reading?

Last week, I finished reading Radar Girls, by Sara Ackerman and I reread The Selection, by Kiera Cass.

Radar Girls was a really fantastic book that I loved reading. It takes place in Hawaii during Pearl Harbor and the years that followed, and is about the girls who took up roles in the military who were stationed at the bases in Hawaii, and controlled radar communication. The book showed an entirely new perspective on the war, and it was fascinating to read about the girls. There was also a very sweet romance mixed into the rest of the book that I loved reading!

I reread The Selection just today, actually, and I listened to the audiobook. It’s become one of my comfort reads in the last year, and it’s fast paced and entertaining. I’m probably going to continue with rereading at least the next two books in the series because I really love re-listening to familiar books.

I’m keeping my list right here the same as it has been over the last couple weeks: I still want to read A Deadly Education, by Naomi Novik, The Keeper of the Night, by Kylie Lee Baker and Empire of the Sun, by J. G. Ballard.

I really really want to start reading at least two of these, and to try and finish one in the next week. I’ve been waiting for way too long to read all three, and I really need to try and get around to the books!!

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!

  1. Hi, Aria!
I just had a look at the books you are reading/have read/will read and unfortunately I haven’t read or heard of any of them besides the Selection. I read it years ago but it didn’t really click with me. I never finished the series, although I was always curious of who America would pick?
I wish you a great week! Happy reading!
