WWW Wednesday 71

Hello, and happy Wednesday! Today was a long day at school, but this afternoon was nice. I’ve had a little bit of time for reading this week, but not a ton. I had a little time for this blog post though, which was fun, so I’m going to dive right into my weekly reading update!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading A Torch against the Night, by Sabaa Tahir and Radar Girls, by Sara Ackerman, You’ll Be the Death of Me, by Karen M. McManus and Majesty, by Katherine McGee.

I listened to a bunch more of the Radar Girls audiobook, and I really like it. The book isn’t exactly what I expected, but it is more romance based than I would have liked. I do like it though, and as I get further into it it’s growing on me more.

I didn’t read much more of A Torch Against the Night, but I am excited to finish it when I can.

You’ll be the Death of Me is not so great. It seems really similar so far to Karen McManus’s other book, One of Us is Lying, and I don’t know if I’m going to finish it. I want to give it a little more of a chance before deciding to DNF it, but that’s probably what I’m going to decide to do.

Majesty is the sequel to American Royals, which I read in the Fall of 2020. American Royals is not an amazing book, but it’s entertaining, and I thought it would be fun to pick up the sequel. So far, I’m enjoying it and it is a pretty fun read!

What did you recently finish reading?

In the last week, I finished reading… nothing. I started reading a couple books, and made progress on others, but I didn’t finish any. Hopefully, next week I’ll be able to finish at least one book, if not more.

Next, I still want to read A Deadly Education, by Naomi Novik, The Keeper of the Night, by Kylie Lee Baker and Empire of the Sun, by J. G. Ballard.

I’m hoping to at least start one of these in the next week, and read as much of them as I can.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!
