WWW Wednesday 70

Hello and happy Wednesday! I had a pretty long day at school today, but it wasn’t too bad. I did start watching Rabbit Proof Fence in my literature class, and it’s a really amazing movie. Hopefully I’ll be able to watch the rest tomorrow. Anyways, I had some time for reading this past week which has been nice, and I’m excited to talk a little about my current reading situation in today’s post!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am still currently reading A Torch against the Night, by Sabaa Tahir and Radar Girls, by Sara Ackerman.

I did have a fair amount of time for reading this week, but not for either of these. I didn’t make much progress on either of these two books, but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to finish both of them soon!

What did you recently finish reading?

Last week, I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, by Taylor Jenkins Reid and Luck of the Titanic, by Stacey Lee.

Both of these were amazing, and I really loved them. Luck of the Titanic is YA historical fiction about a teenage girl who stows away on the Titanic to find her brother, who is also onboard. I finished it earlier today, and it’s absolutely amazing!

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo is about Evelyn Hugo, the secretive Hollywood icon and Monique Grant, the reporter Hugo chose to tell her story. It is raw, emotional, beautiful and exciting. The way the book is told; taking the reader through each of Evelyn Hugo’s seven husbands and all details of her long and glamorous life, while also fitting Monique Grant’s own story is really incredible, and was a highlight of the book. It makes me want to read everything else by Taylor Jenkins Reid.

Next, I want to read A Deadly Education, by Naomi Novik, The Keeper of the Night, by Kylie Lee Baker and Empire of the Sun, by J. G. Ballard.

All three of these sound absolutely amazing, and I’m really hoping that I’ll get a chance to read each of them sooner rather than later!

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!
