WWW Wednesday 61

Hello! I wasn’t able to get this post out yesterday, but I’m still excited to bring you this little reading update that’s only one day late. I honestly don’t have much to put here, so I’m going to dive right into this post!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Bloody Spade, Aria’s Traveling Bookshop, The Gilded Wolves, The Mime Order, by Samantha Shannon, Dance of Thieves, by Mary E. Pearson, The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern and I’ll Give You the Sun, by Jandy Nelson.

So yeah. That hasn’t changed.

I’m about three chapters into I’ll Give You the Sun, and I am having a terrible time reading it. I’m reading it for literature class, and we are WAY overanalyzing it, in a way that really takes away from the enjoyment of the book. I think that I might be liking it, and definitely would be enjoying it way more than I am right now!

I don’t really have the energy for any of the other books right now, and I unfortunately didn’t really get through much more of any of them which is a little sad.

What did you recently finish reading?

In the last week, I read What if it’s Us, by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera, The Maze of Bones, by Rick Riordan, and I am Princess X, by Cherie Priest.

Two were rereads: The Maze of Bones and I am Princess X, and they were just as amazing as they were the first times I read them!!

I’ve read The Maze of Bones much more recently, so that was pretty predicable and all, but it’s been a very long time since I last read I am Princess X: almost two years! It was one of the first books I reviewed here, over two years ago. You can read my very mediocre review if you feel like it, although it is really badly written, very lacking, and has about 0 likes. I really should rereview it sometime, since I have so much to say about the book!

What if it’s Us was absolutely AMAZING and I’m so so glad that I finally got around to reading it. I devoured the audiobook in two days, and I loved every moment.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next, I want to read The Keeper of the Night, by Lee Baker, and The Guinevere Deception, by Kiersten White.

Mainly though, I really want to finish a few of the books that I’m currently reading, since I’ve been really stuck in them for weeks and I really really just want to move past them, and get out of this reading slump that I’ve been in on and off since the end of August.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!
