Hello! I was tagged for the Outstanding Blogger Award by the wonderful Abby @ Beyond the Read, and I’m excited to do it! The questions look really fun, so thank you so much Abby, and I’m going to get right into it!

Abby’s questions:
What inspired you to start blogging?
I started me blog because I wanted a place to share my thoughts on the books that I read, and that’s basically what it is today!
What is a popular trope in books that you can’t stand?
I really dislike love triangles. It’s just not interesting to me to be reading about love triangles, and I think that they’re way overused.
Most of the time, love triangles don’t seem necessary and are often really forced. That’s just not fun for me to read about.
What’s the most recent book that you rated 5 stars?
I think that it was Cinder, by Marissa Meyer. I read it about a week ago, and I really loved it! I’ve heard so many amazing things about Cinder, and I’ve wanted to read it for a long time. It was a really incredible book, and I am excited for the rest of the series!

I also recently reread The Red Pyramid, by Rick Riordan, and that was also a five star read.
Do you like rainy days?
Yes! I love rainy days so much! I especially love reading on rainy days.
Where I live, it rains a lot, so I have a lot of rainy days!
What’s your favorite dessert?
I love apple crumble, and really any sort of apple pastry. I also really love carrot cake.
Do you have a pet?
I have three! I have two cats and one dog. My dog is a golden retreiver named Clover, and she is really sweet! My older cat is named Loki, and my kitten is named Zoë!
my cat Loki My golden retriever Clover My kitten, Zoë
What is your favorite genre of music to listen to?
I usually listen to audiobooks, and when I listen to music it’s really anything. When I’m writing I usually don’t have music with words, however when I’m reading I can listen to basically anything.
I nominate:
Daria @ Bookaholic’s Therapy | Ruby @ Ruby Reads and Reviews | Kira @ Kira Jeanette | Aria @ Snow White Hates Apples | Laura @ The Book Corps | Aditi @ One in a Million | Sophie @ Me & Ink
My questions:
- Do you prefer series or standalones?
- What genre do you rarely or never read?
- Where do you usually read?
- Do you have any pets? (stealing Abby’s question because I’m curious now)
- What are your favorite posts to write?
- How do you organize your books?
- What fictional world would you love to spend a week in, and what would you do?
Do you like love triangles? Do you have any pets? Chat with me in the comments below!

Thank you so much for nominating me, Aria!!🤗 I also love rainy days and just reading with some tea and a comfy blanket.
And Clover, your dog, is just adorable. I might be biased because I love golden retreivers but honestly…🥰

Reading with some tea and a comfy blanket on a rainy day is really the best 😌
Golden retreivers really are amazing dogs though!

This was so fun to read and your pets, ahh… They are all so cute. I’m in love 🥰 I just want to cuddle them all (I love the name loki as well) 🤣 I think love triangles are one of my least favourite tropes too, whilst I do think good ones exist, they are rare. Plus I hate it when the plot is based on only the love triangle!!
Yesss… Rainy days for the win. They can be so cosy especially for reading. Yes, yes, yes!! Thank you so much for nominating me 🥰🥰

I’m so glad!! 🥰 The picture of my dog is after she was spayed and had the surgery, my sister wrapped her up. Loki is a very fitting name because he’s a very mischievious cat!
I also agree that there can be good love triangles, but that isn’t very common. If a book is only based around a love triangle, that just isn’t as interesting.
Rainy days really are the best! They’re so relaxing, and fun, and amazing!
You’re welcome, and thanks so much for your comment 🙂💕

I love love triangles haha. IDK that seems like an unpopular opinion but I think like most tropes, if it’s done well then it works. Like when we have two characters who we equally root for and want to see the MC with, then it doesn’t feel forced or false. I also started blogging to share my thoughts about books! And I loved reading both Cinder and The Red Pyramid, though it’s been years since I read both of those series. Also wow your pets are super cute. I’ve always wanted a cat.

It really depends on the person with love triangles, I guess!!
Cinder is so good, and I’m really excited to read the next books.
Thanks for commenting!! 🙂

Yes to love triangles being forced! Most of the time there’s a clear “bad” love interest, and you know who’s going to “win.” (Uh, yeah, no one is going to have a YA protagonist pick the drug dealer who can’t remember her birthday. Why is he even a “love interest”?)

Yesss why are they even love interests in the first place?! It’s usually really clear who’s going to ‘win’ and if it’s not, it feels boring.

Your pets are so cute 🥺 I totally get what you mean with love triangles, they do seem forced in many books. I don’t get why you need to insert love triangles just for more drama! Loved your answers 💖

Love triangles are just soooo overused!! It’s just not necessary drama that’s really frustrating to see in books. Thanks! I’m so glad 🙂

I totally agree with you. I hate love triangles. I will literally not read a book of it has one even if the reviews are high

I’ll read books with love triangles if they look good aside from that, but love triangles definitely just take away from other parts of the story.
