WWW Wednesday 46

Happy Wednesday everyone! It’s already more than halfway through November, which feels kind of crazy. There are some things that I usually do every November and it’s weird to not be doing that. But it’s been really rainy this past week has been really fun, and really of nice!

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam @ Taking On a World of Words, and how it works is each week I answer three questions about my the books I’ve read, finished reading and want to read next.

The three Ws:

  • What are you currently reading?
  • What did you recently finish reading?
  • What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

I am currently reading Furia, by Yamile Saied Méndez, Everything All at Once, by Ivy Cayden, and Le Petit Prince, by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry.

I just started Everything All at Once, and that book is so much fun! There is a playlist to listen to as you read the book, and it makes the whole experience just so wonderful!

I made a bit of progress on Furia, and I’m really loving it. The narrator for the audiobook is also really amazing.

I also read some more of The Little Prince in French, and it’s such an interesting book.

What did you recently finish reading?

I have had so much less time to read, with nanowrimo and school. (I am really done with zoom meetings.) I did finish two books this week, which was good… I guess. Better than last week, at least.

Darius the Great is Not Okay, by Adib Khorram was so good, and I cried at the end because it’s kind of sad and really beautiful. I can’t wait to get to the sequel, because Darius is such a great character, and I read the preview chapter at the end of my copy, and ahh it looks so good!

Also though… watching Percy, Annabeth, Rachel and Nico all camping out together in the Labyrinth. A very, uh, tense situation.

Also… a favorite quote from the book, because why not?

““I am the son of Hades,” Nico insisted. “Be gone!”

Minos laughed. “You have no power over me. I am the lord of spirits! The Ghost King!”

“No,” Nico drew his sword. “I am.””

–Rick Riordan, The Battle of the Labyrinth

Seriously though, I could talk about Nico di Angelo, and this quote for so long. He is such a fascinating character, and so amazing!

If you want to see all the books I’ve read so far this year, check out my Goodreads, where I (mostly) keep up with all the books I read.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Next week I want to get through both Kindled Embers, by K. C. Simos and The Star-Touched Queen, by Roshani Chokshi. I also want to finish Everything All at Once, so it will be a lot.

Kindled Embers is on the shorter side though, and Roshani Chokshi books tend to be faster reads for me, so hopefully I’ll be able to manage that.

I am really excited for both of the books though, especially The Star-Touched Queen because I’ve been trying to read as many of Roshani Chokshi’s books as I can and I only have a few left until I’ve gotten through all of them!

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? What are you currently reading? Chat with me in the comments below!
