Hello! I was tagged by Rukky @ Eternity Books for the sunshine blogger award! She tagged me for this more than three months ago, but I’m very happy to be finally getting to it. Rukky is one of the nicest bloggers I know and you should definitely go check out her blog because it’s amazing! Anyway, thank you so much Rukky for nominating me for this, and without further ado, here is my second take on the Sunshine blogger award!

What book series do you want to see as a TV adaptation?

Well, now that we’ve got the PJO adaptation, I don’t know what else I would want.

Just kidding. Actually, there are plenty of book series that I would love to see as a TV adaptation, as long as they were done well. Very, very, very well done. One book series that I think would be amazing as a TV adaptation is The Penderwicks, by Jeanne Birdsall. This five book series follows the Penderwick siblings on their entertaining and hilarious adventures. If the series were done really well, I think that people of all ages would love to watch the show.

What supernatural creature do you think we need to see more of in fiction?

I don’t know! I don’t read a lot of fantasy and books that involve supernatural creatures. However, one thing that I really like is reading about lots of different supernatural creatures, and also how the different supernatural creatures are interpreted and described by different authors.

What author would you love to see more books from?

A few years ago, I read this book and it was AMAZING and I was really disappointed because there were no other books by that author.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember who the author was or what the book was about.

One author that I would love to see more books from is C. G. Drews. I read her two books, A Thousand Perfect Notes and The Boy Who Steals Houses recently, and they are both so incredible!! I can’t wait to see what she writes next…

How do you choose which book to read?

Oh, it is a very very spontaneous and mostly random system. I set up monthly TBRs (occasionally) and I do my best to stick to them. Right now, for example, I have a stack of ten books that I’m planning to read this month. I am very excited to read all of them, however, that’s not to say that I won’t go reread all of the Penderwicks books.

I choose which book to read by choosing a book that I’m interested in and that I within reaching distance of. Actually, I probably won’t not read a book just because it’s up high on my bookshelf and the other one is way closer to me on the floor. Probably.

Which genre do you want to read more of?

I want to read more fantasy!!! That was actually one of my goals at the beginning of this year, and I think that I’m doing an okay job with it. I’m almost done with the Priory of the Orange Tree, which is fantasy, and I’ve also read some other fantasy novels this year!

Which genre do you want to read less of?

There are no genres that I want to read less of. I do read a ton of historical fiction, but I love historical fiction, so I don’t want to read less of it!

Do you like doing tags?

I love doing tags! I think that they’re really fun to write, and also that they’re really fun to read. It also interesting to see how many different blogs have done a tag, and also how long a tag has been around for.

How many books do you read at a time?

Lots and lots and lots and lots. Probably too many, if I think about it that much, which I don’t. At any given time, I’ll probably be reading a physical book, an audiobook and an ebook. I’ll also probably be reading one for school or something. Right now, for example…

I’m reading a physical copy of The Serpent’s Shadow which I checked out from the library. I’m listening to the audiobook of The Priory of the Orange Tree. I’m also listening to the audiobook of Hattie Ever After. Verte is a French book that I’m reading with my French tutor and I’m reading an ebook of Aurora and the Thief aloud to my sister!

What are some good bookish habits that you’re proud of?

I think that I mostly have pretty good bookish habits! I do my best to keep my bookshelf organized and clean, and I also do my best to keep my books in good condition. Also, when I buy a book, I try to read it and not just have it sitting on my bookshelf for months and months, unread and unhappy.

What are some bad bookish habits that you’re trying (or not) to break?

I don’t know what would be considered as a ‘bad bookish habit’. I own a lot of books, but I don’t see that as a bad thing because I love rereading books, and I reread them over and over.

Who’s your favorite book influencer?

There are so many amazing, incredible book influencers out there, but here are a few:

Jane @ Blogger Books writes amazing posts on all things book related. She writes really good and engaging discussions that I love reading!!

Kay @ Hammock of Books has such entertaining and fun posts to read! She is really funny, and also very articulate about her opinions on books.

Lori @ The Reading Fairy has a really cute blog and her content is AMAZING. I love reading her reviews, and I have added many a book to my TBR through them.

  3. thank you for nominating me, Aria! i find your answer to the tag question so interesting lmao 😂 on one hand, i like doing tags because the questions are all laid out for me and all i have to do is answer them—not much planning involved. but there are also a mountain of tags that i still haven’t done, and i’m not sure if i even want to get to them because i like publishing other posts, like discussions, wrap-ups etc. :””)

    1. Yeah, it’s really fun to write them, but there are lots of other posts that I want to write. Honestly, there are so many posts that I want to write at some point I feel like I’ll never get to all of them 😂

  7. awwwwww thank you soooo much!!!!! And I would also love to see a Penderwicks adaption!!! And concerning the bad bookish habit: I also own a lot of books and I feel like many people criticize that because they say “borrow more instead of buying” but since I also love to reread and also donate and then sell my books, I think it’s completely fine!

    1. I feel like if the Penderwicks adaptation was done very very well, it could be so amazing!! I also think that it would be better as a show/series than a movie just because. I do feel like I would be really really critical of it though if it ended up happening 😂 I love those books too much too see a bad adaptation be made.
      Yeah, I think that as long as I reread a lot of the books, and donate/sell ones that I have no interest in, it’s fine. One thing that I feel like people don’t get is that I borrow plenty of books! If I bought ever book that I read, well, it just wouldn’t work out 😂 Happy reading!!

        1. I looked it up on the author website, and she said that she doesn’t think the books would translate well into film, and that she owns the film rights and stuff.

          But I have so many images in my head of Arundelle, and penderwick siblings, and I wouldn’t want anything to ruin that!!

  8. Aww, it’s no problem at all! I still have tags from December of last year I think 🙈 Ahh, I saw Hattie Ever After at the library I think, and I’m not sure why I didn’t read it, but I do hope you enjoy it!! And haha, I also usually have like 2 or 3 books on my Currently Reading list, but in reality, I read only one book at a time. It feels like I’m reading them all together because I usually just read one book in one go, and then start another one right after lol. I have not read Cait’s books yet, and I feel terrible about it kind of bc I’ve just been hearing amazing things about them!! But my library doesn’t have them yet so I’m still waiting 😭
    Anyways, great post!! (and I’m so so sorry for falling behind on commenting on all your posts!! I’m just doing things randomly nowadays with no certain order, but I will try and get to them in the next 2 weeks or so 💕✨)

    1. I’m rereading Hattie Ever After and it’s an amazing book! I definitely recommend it, (and the one that comes before it) if you like historical fiction 🙂 Cait’s books really are amazing, and I hope your library gets them soon! Also, no problem. I am honoured .They are all great questions 🙂 The only reason I will re-read a book is because I need to write a review ….I too keep my book so neat…I hate folding pages of the books and yes most of the time I too try to read the book as soon as I get it…at the most I read only 2 books at a time….it kind of gets difficult to get back to the story for me after reading too many books ….and who does not like doing tags I just love them they are even my favorite posts to read …..I am planning to read more of historical fictions I too love the genre but I am not sure which are the good books in it…can you suggest me some.

    1. I will never fold the pages of a book 😂 Hattie Big Sky by Kirby Larson is amazing, and so is it’s sequel, Hattie Ever After. The War That Saved my Life, by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley is one of my favorite books, I also definitely recommend it!
