Well hello there, my dear readers! I am really excited about this week’s Top Ten Tuesday topic, and I have been for a few months since I first saw it on the list! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where each week there is a topic and you make a list that best fits that topic! This week’s topic is Items I’d have at my bookish party! I am going to list the items that I would have at the party, and also where the party will take place and stuff like that.
Where on earth this party would be
A cozy cabin in a snowy wood
My bookish party would take place in a cozy cabin with a huge fireplace, and also would have benches outside for people to read in and chat in. There would be lots and lots of snow, and we would read by the fire and stare outside at the beautiful scenery. It would be amazing.
The people that would be there
All of my friends who love books, both online and in real life.
Who better to have a bookish party with than with people who love books? I would invite people who I know in the book blogging community, and also my irl friends who are also book lovers.
What we would do at this party
I am genuinely very sorry if you expected some major planning happening, but at this bookish party we will sit around and read for hours and hours on end. There will be a “chat with your friends about the book you just read” room, so we can cry together about the betrayals we experience when authors kill our favorite characters, and talk about how sad it is when a good book ends.
But mostly, we will read, and read and read. We will read through any interruptions and distractions and just read.
At this party, I would want pillows and pillows and pillows and pillows and pillows.
When I like to read, I like to be cozy, and comfortable, and be able to burrow into a pile of fluffy pillows and fuzzy blankets. Like that kitten up there.
And last but not least, books!
At this party, we’re going to read a bunch, so of course we would need lots of books!
We will have books and books and books and books. We will have books of all sorts of genres, and lots of duplicate books so we can read books as a group and discuss them.
