Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Signs You’re a Book Lover

Hello! I hope that you are all having an amazing Tuesday so far, and that you’re staying healthy through social distancing and stuff. Anyways, right now I am back with another Top Ten Tuesday. Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl where there is a topic and you make a list that best fits that topic! This week’s topic is Ten Signs You’re a Book Lover!

***I actually wrote this post in March, but it got unpublished because of a problem with the gifs. That’s why it might look familiar. Because I wrote this a month ago, and people read it. But I’m going to republish it so it still appears on my blog.

I always have a book or two or three with me

So, I am never without a book. Or two. Or three. I am one of those people who walks around the school about to drop all their stuff because their binder and pencil pouch because they’re holding a four hundred page novel. Seriously, once, my french teacher said “once you finish your test you can do I quite activity at your desk, or read a book if you have one” and everyone turned to look at me. And once I had four books with me (one was for class, another I was almost done with, the third I had just in case I finished the second and the fourth was to return to the library at lunch). Anyways, this kid was like, why do you have four books, and I was like, well, one is for class, another I am almost done with, the third I have just in case I finish the second and the fourth is to return to the library at lunch.

People just don’t get that you always have to have a book to read, and another book to read when you finish the other book.

I am always talking about books

Me every five seconds before the coronavirus. Now, while I’m stuck at home, I must tell someone about the most wonderful story that I just read. I can no longer depend on the any random person that I run into in my first period class.

I have a lot of books.

Again, Belle can explain things better than I. I have a giant bookshelf in my room, and, the best part is that it’s double sided, if I can explain it that way, which basically means that I have a lot of space for the books that I am constantly rereading.

I am constantly trying to tell others about books

I love sharing books withs anyone who will listen. I will read passages aloud to anyone who will listen, I will shove books into the faces of anyone who will listen, all that. Because there are so many great books out there!

I am always reading

Who said reading while walking isn’t a good idea? It’s not like I’d take the time to put the book down, and stop absorbing the story! And also, when I’m reading, I don’t always tune out the rest of the world. I can pay attention to conversations, so people, stop thinking that just because I’m reading, I can’t hear you. Because I can. I also tend to listen to audiobooks as much as I possibly can, because for me, audiobooks are yet another way of absorbing a book. And although I do prefer physical books, audiobooks give me the chance to multitask, to do lots of other things while I’m still reading!

So, although I could probably think of quite a few more signs I’m a book lover. But right now, I’m going to leave it at 5, and move on, because right now, I want to go read.

I guess that’s yet another sign that I’m a book lover. I’d almost always rather be reading.
