How I did on my winter TBR

SO… I made a TBR (to be read) list of ten books back in December, and now that it’s officially spring, I thought I’d see how I did! And this is a short introduction paragraph, but I really don’t care, so, moving on now…

1 Girl on a Wire, by Gwenda Bond

Well, I read this one! I really enjoyed it, and it is a really good book!

2 The Astonishing Life of Octavian Nothing 1: The Pox Party, by M. T. Anderson

I tried to read this book. I really tried. I just couldn’t finish it. This is one of the only books I’ve not finished in a while, and I think that someday I’ll try to go back to it. I thought that the idea for the plot was interesting, but it took a while to grasp, and the writing was kind of weird.

3 Black Radishes, by Susan Lynn Meyer

I also did read this one, and it is an amazing book! I read the sequel, Skating with the Statue of Liberty a while ago, before I knew it had a sequel, but I’m really glad I read it!

4 The Wolf Wilder, by Katherine Rundell

This. Was. An. Amazing. Book. It really was. It was one of the best books I read in 2019, and I recommend it to all of you.

5 Orange for the Sunsets, by Tina Athaide

I had to return Orange for the Sunsets to the library, before I got to reading it, and I never really got back around to reading it. Maybe I will someday soon though!

6 Turtle in Paradise, by Jennifer L. Holm

I did read this a few days ago, and then when I was about halfway through it, I realized that I actually have read it before (I just don’t know when). I did finish it though because I didn’t remember it that well. It all ended up coming back to me though!

7 The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelo

I am currently reading this, so I hope I’ll finish it soon!

8 Before We Were Free, by Julia Alvarez

I recently read this and it is an incredible, heartbreaking, powerful story that you need to go read right now. Seriously. I’ve read a few of Julia Alvarez’s books, and the ones I’ve read are all so amazing and incredible!!!!!!!!

Books I wanted to reread:

9 The Girl who Drank the Moon, by Kelly Barnhill

I did this. I reread it. A lot. Of times.

The School for Good and Evil, by Soman Chainani

I also reread this. A lot. Of times.

I read: 7/10 books

I didn’t read: 1/10 books

I am currently reading: 1/10 books

I didn’t finish reading: 1/10 books

I reviewed: 0/10 books

I’m pretty happy with what I accomplished through that list. I’m not the best at sticking to TBRs, or following through with what I say I’m going to read, or what I want to read, but I think I’m getting better! I definitely want to be reviewing more books. I reviewed none of the ten books I read, and I want to review more.

Have you read any of the books I mentioned? Chat with me in the comments below!
