Top Ten Tuesday: Characters I’d follow on social media

Hello! I hope you are all having a wonderful Tuesday so far! Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Each week there is a bookish topic and you make a list of the top ten (or twenty, or five) that fit the topic! This week’s topic is characters that I’d follow on social media. I don’t actually have any social media other than my blog and Goodreads, but I’m still excited for this week’s topic!

1 Jane from the Penderwicks, by Jean Birdsall

Jane is such a fascinating character! She loves books, and is constantly reading and writing so I’d image that she’d have an incredible instagram, and also I’d love to read her blog.

2 Hattie Inez Brooks, from Hattie Big Sky and Hattie Ever After, by Kirby Larson

Hattie Inez Brooks loves reading, writing and moves to the Montana prairie to homestead on her own as a 16 year old because her uncle left her the claim in his will. Once you get past that social media wasn’t in existence in 1918, you can see that she would have an amazing instagram and probably blog.

3 Nina from Six of Crows

There would be waffles. Is there anything else for me to say? Waffles, waffles and waffles. Of course I would follow her!

4 Ada from The War That Saved my Life, by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley

Ada Smith is one of my favorite characters of all time, and I would love to keep up with her stories and pictures about Butter, her horse, who she rides practically every day. I feel like she would also take incredible pictures.

5 Stella, from Stella by Starlight by Sharon M. Draper

Stella loves writing, and she is always writing, in her notebook, and later on her typewriter, so I bet that if she lived in this time, she would have an amazing blog that I would read everyday!

6 Ella, from Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine

I just feel like Ella would be a very interesting person to follow, and also really fun!

7 Ali, from Every Soul a Star, by Wendy Mass

8 Bree, from Every Soul a Star

These two girls are so very different in all ways, however, there lives collide in this book and they actually become friends. There social media would be very different however!

Bree would be constantly posting about her new outfits, her best makeup tips, and all that stuff that Ali would never be interested in.

Ali, on the other hand, would be posting about her stargazing, pictures of beautiful nature scenes, and other stuff like that.

9 Felicity Juniper Pickle, from A Snicker of Magic, by Natalie Lloyd

I first read this book a few years ago, but Felicity is so funny, yet serious at the same time. Her way with words, how she collects them, and also how she makes lots of lists is really fun, so I bet she would post her lists of words so often!

x Helena, from Secrets at Sea, by Richard Peck

Well yeah, she’s a mouse. But once you think about the part where mouse don’t have opposable thumbs, you figure out that they can just use the speech to text app, and you realize that Helena is so brave and funny that her instagram feed would hilarious!

What characters would you follow on social media? Any of the same ones that I would? Chat with me in the comments below!

  1. I am 100% up for following Helena on social media – or any animal’s accounts to be honest! I’ve never read The Penderwicks but I’m intrigued after seeing your post! x

    1. Have you read the kind of sequel book to Secrets at Sea, the mouse with the Question-mark tail? It’s really good.
I definitely suggest reading the Penderwicks! It is a great series!
